A Place for Your Furry Friends

Community-Driven Dog Park

Our community dog park is a testament to the dedication and hard work of our volunteers. The initiative, spearheaded by Les Spurgeon, gained approval in April/May 2022. Since then, Les has organized numerous volunteer work sessions to transform the space.

While the dog park is not owned by the village, it is managed by a committed group of volunteers. These volunteers have worked tirelessly to install fencing around the entire park and create double gate entrances for added safety. All the benches within the park are sponsored, contributing to the community spirit that defines this project.

To date, over $6,000 has been raised by our volunteers to support and maintain the dog park. With more than 600 volunteer hours dedicated to this effort, our dog park stands as a proud example of what community-driven initiatives can achieve.

The land was donated to Trans Canada Trail and then transferred to Alberta TrailNet Society in 2005.

Partners include: Meadowlark Trail Society,
Town of Irricana Lions Club, Village of Beiseker, Town of Irricana, Alberta TrailNet Society and Beiseker Parks and Trails Society. This Trail is an important part of the Trans Canada
